Simple plants to decorate for your next backyard BBQ

Why let only the neighbors yard shine? Your yard can be just as beautiful.

If you are throwing a backyard BBQ here are a couple of tips to spruce up your yard with some colorful plants and flowers.

Here’s what we did.  Using existing pots we had laying around the yard, we took several plants and flowers and placed them around the BBQ and patio.  You can use existing pots or flower beds to replicate what we did.

We used:

Red: Pansies, Begonias, Dahlias                                     Blue: Larkspur, Pansies, False Lavender
White: Alyssum, Impatiens, Pansies, Daisies

We purchased these annuals at the local nursery and you can find these at any local nursery or hardware store.   We added some flags and a couple of umbrellas for the drinks and we are ready for the party.  These are some simple and easy things to do to dress up your backyard for a fun backyard barbeque!  You can call a professional to plant these items or do it yourself.  Either way, it is an easy way to enjoy the outdoors and celebrate with friends!
